- ICWA का इतिहास: 1943 में भारतीय बुद्धिजीवियों द्वारा एक प्रमुख थिंक टैंक के रूप में स्थापित, ICWA को 2001 में संसद के एक अधिनियम द्वारा 'राष्ट्रीय महत्व का संस्थान' (Institution of National Importance) घोषित किया गया था, जिसकी यह 25वीं वर्षगांठ है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संबंधों में भारत की अपनी ऐतिहासिक अवधारणाओं और शब्दावली का उपयोग करने पर जोर देना, यूरो-केंद्रित कूटनीतिक दृष्टिकोण से हटकर 'स्वदेशी रणनीतिक आख्यान' की ओर एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव का संकेत देता है। ICWA जैसे थिंक टैंक इस बौद्धिक ढांचे को बनाने में सहायक हैं, जो भारतीय राजनयिकों को ब्रिक्स जैसे बहुपक्षीय मंचों का नेतृत्व करने के लिए सशक्त बनाते हैं।

Addressing the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) as an Institution of National Importance, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan (ex-officio President of ICWA) praised the successful conclusion of the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. He highlighted that amidst global conflicts, the unanimously adopted New Delhi Declaration stands out as a remarkable achievement.
- Role in Viksit Bharat 2047: The Vice President emphasized that ICWA, with its deep intellectual tradition and institutional legacy, will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
