ओस्लो में आयोजित तीसरे भारत-नॉर्डिक शिखर सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र, कानून का शासन और बहुपक्षवाद के प्रति साझा प्रतिबद्धता भारत और नॉर्डिक देशों के बीच संबंधों का आधार है।
शिखर सम्मेलन की मुख्य बातें:
- रणनीतिक साझेदारी: संबंधों को 'हरित प्रौद्योगिकी और नवाचार रणनीतिक साझेदारी' में अपग्रेड करने का निर्णय लिया गया।
- मुख्य पहल: सतत ऊर्जा, समुद्री सहयोग और आर्कटिक क्षेत्र में शोध पर विशेष जोर दिया गया।
- सहयोग का विस्तार: डेनमार्क, फिनलैंड, आइसलैंड, नॉर्वे और स्वीडन के साथ संबंधों को नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाने का लक्ष्य।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने इन पांचों नॉर्डिक देशों के नेताओं के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठकें कीं और प्रौद्योगिकी तथा स्थिरता के क्षेत्र में साझा प्राथमिकताओं पर चर्चा की।
